Ambassador - John Richard
John Richard is an adventurer and independent filmmaker based in Iowa, whose love for the natural world runs deep. With a background in Environmental Science and Geology, John’s journey began on the big walls of Yosemite and has since taken him to the alpine heights of France, Switzerland, Argentina, and Nepal.
John transitioned from climbing to filmmaking, directing the acclaimed documentary "Saving Brinton," a project that ignited his passion for preserving history. Currently, he’s working on "What Happened to the Iowa Mountaineers?"—a film that explores the legacy of a pioneering mountaineering club and the bonds formed through shared wilderness adventures.
Through his films, John captures the joy of exploration and the enduring camaraderie of the mountaineering community, ensuring that the stories of adventurers past continue to inspire future generations.
