Jake Inger - Cyclist/Skier
Jake is an ultra-endurance cyclist and backcountry skier based in Portland, Maine, with a relentless appetite for long miles and remote terrain. He holds the unsupported fastest known time on the VTXL (a 302-mile gravel bikepacking route through Vermonth) and enjoys mountain and gravel endurance racing.
When the snow flies, Jake trades the bike for long nordic skis and heads into the backcountry. His winters are shaped by the same ethos as his scycling: human-powered, self-reliant, and drawn toward the kind of terrain that earns its rewards.
Jake is drawn to pursuits that reward preparation and punish shortcuts. Whether it's holding pace through hour 20 of bikepacking effort or reading a backcountry line on Mount Washington, he is committed to finding out how far he can go on his own power.
